HOW TO RIDE MORE SAFELY

1. LISTEN TO YOUR KIDDO

If your little one doesn’t want to get in the saddle, for the love of hero dirt, don’t make them. And your Mac Riders should be able to respond to verbal cues—because “Hands on the handlebars!” isn’t a request, it’s a requirement.

2. START EASY, GO SLOW

A Ride More seat may unlock trail riding with your kids, but we don’t recommend tackling the trails you would take solo. Start easy, go slow, and stick close to home in case your kiddos get tired. And don’t forget the good snacks.

3. BUNDLE THEM UP

You’re pedaling, your kids aren’t—so, while you heat up, they don’t. Bundle them up in layers, and we 10/10 recommend Little Shredder Ride More Gloves—because nothing ends a ride faster than cold fingers. And always wear your helmets, with the chin straps nice and snug.

4. DO THE TOE-TURN TEST

Before every ride, do the Toe-Turn Test:

With your kiddo in the seat and front shocks bottomed out, turn your handlebars 90º to ensure their toes clear the front wheel when turning. If they don’t, adjust the seat before you go for a rip.

WHY RIDE MORE?

Trailblazing, award-winning design

  • Our kids bike seats are mid-mounted because that’s where bikes were designed to hold weight. Better center of gravity for you, better shock absorption for your kids. It’s a win-win.
  • Mac Ride’s No-Slip Saddleᵀᴹ and Sky Ride’s No-Slip Seatᵀᴹ are designed to keep your kiddos in the saddle—even in a slick Muddy Buddy—thanks to intelligent engineering for extra grip.

Unlike the copycats, every Ride More seat sits as low as possible (without touching that beauty frame) so you can actually see over your kiddo’s helmeted head.

Kids grow—your gear should, too. From the position of the saddle to the length of the stirrups and tightness of the straps, every Ride More seat is fully adjustable to grow with your kiddos.

Put any Ride More seat on (or take it off) in seconds with the turn of an Allen key—which you’ll never lose because it stows inside the saddle. Yeah, we really did think of everything.

If you’re anything like us, you don’t want to clamp a kids bike seat to a spendy frame. Our seats clamp to your seat post and steerer tube to protect your frame. (Your bike will thank us, %💯!)

At just 3.6 lb. / 1.63 kg, our seats fold down flat, so they can travel with you in your panniers or backpack—or tuck into your kid’s daycare cubby while you ride to work solo.

Our story

HELPING YOU RIDE THROUGH THE TODDLER YEARS

The toddler years are tough enough, you shouldn’t have to sacrifice weekend rides or your morning commute because your kiddos are too young to bike (or keep up). As mountain bikers and parents, we married Glen’s engineering degree with Ashley’s MBA to found Ride More, so we can all keep riding, together.
