5 easy steps to Check your bike
-
1. CHECK your STEERER TUBE FOR DIAMETER SIZE
- Each Ride More seat comes with 2 front mounts that fit a standard steerer tube - diameter 1 ¹/⁸"
- Adapters are available for other sizes (see below)
-
2. CHECK STEERER TUBE FOR 10MM IN SPACERS
- Look for 10mm in existing spacer height under your stem
- Remove 10mm in spacers and swap in your Ride More spacer
- This step is a one time step only.
-
3. CHECK STEM FOR FRONT CLAMP CLEARANCE
- The front clamp needs to go around your steerer tube without hitting the stem/bars
- Short stems need 15mm of spacer - 10mm for the spacer and 5mm for clearance
-
4. CHECK the width of TOPTUBE & DOWNTUBE
- Ride More stirrups go over tubes that are 68mm or less
- Tubes wider than 68mm and less than 102mm require a Wide Adapter
- Tubes wider than 102mm and less than 122mm require an Extra Wide
-
5. CHECK SEAT POST FOR 20MM HEIGHT
- The Ride More rear clamp fits on standard seat posts and dropper posts (carbon too!)
- Look for 20mm in height on your post to allow room for the clamp
- For droppers, clamp to the static portion of your post

Ride More front mounts
You have checked the specs of your bike's steerer tube diameter, and it's not standard, 1 ¹/⁸". You might need an adapter-
- A quill adapter for your cruiser/commuter
- A larger spacer - 1 ¹/⁴" for an older Giant
- A lockring spacer for your Trek Knock Block system
- A Syncros adapter to flatten out those angled spacers on your Scott bike

Seat Post Matters
-
Standard Seat Posts
Check for 2cm in height on your post and you are ready to roll
-
Carbon Seat Posts
Again, totally safe! Check for 2cm, and then BOOM, get riding!
-
Dropper posts
YES! Clamp to the static portion of your post and ride on!
Chunky Seat Post? We got you.

For thicker seat posts - up to 34.9 mm:
- Remove the domed nut from the end of the Ride More rear clamp hand screw.
- This will allow the clamp to open up to 34.9mm.
- The domed nut is there only to protect the rider's inner thigh from the edge of the screw when clamped to very small diameter (27.2mm) seat posts.
- The nut may be stiff to unscrew as there is a small amount of threadlock on the inside.

E-Bikes, Fat Bikes, & Chunky Frames
Ride More seats are brilliant for e-bikes and bikes with chunky frames! Unless your e-bike frame is very narrow, or your battery pack is at the back, you will need an e-bike adapter to go with your seat. Which Adapter do you need?
Top Tube & Down Tube Width
- Standard Width (no Adapter): 68mm or less
- Wide Adapter: 68-97mm
- Extra Wide Adapter: 97-117mm

What is a steerer tube?
It's this strong piece silver piece here that pops out of your frame and sets up your bike for your bars.
-
Where do i measure?
Here at arrow where it says 1 ¹/⁸". This is where it counts as it is the part where the Ride More front mount fits.
-
Quill Stems
Quill stems go inside a threaded steerer tube. These stems need a quill stem adapter- 7/8" or 1".
